The Connecticut
Association of Not-for-profit Providers For the Aging (CANPFA) is a membership
organization representing not-for-profit and Quality First providers across the continuum of
long-term care including housing, assisted living, home care, adult day centers,
residential care homes, and nursing homes. CANPFA member organizations are mission-driven: they operate to
serve their clients.
CANPFA also manages the
Connecticut Association of Adult Day Centers (CAADC), a membership organization
of adult day health care providers. CANPFA's research and education arm is the
Institute for Long-Term Care Policy, Inc.

Selecting Long-Term Care
CANPFA and AARP published a useful consumer
guide to selecting long-term care in Connecticut. It includes explanations
of the different levels of care, how to choose the appropriate level of care
based on the condition of a person, and useful resources for additional
information.
